Safety related features include the built-in patented hydrogen purge valve that allows explosive gases to harmlessly leave the battery compartments. In addition to this patented feature, pellets have been encapsulated in every Peli torch. These tiny catalyst pellets combine outgasing hydrogen discharging from batteries with ambient air trapped inside all torches, changing the mixture to harmless water droplets.
Peli torches are also noted for their virtually indestructible resin bodies and hi-impact polycarbonate lens.

Recoil technology provides a focused beam of light, previously unobtainable from LED torches.  Hazardous / Heads Up Torches

The 2620 HeadsUp Lite is compact and weighs only 139 grams. It features a pivot head which enables the wearer to angle the beam to where it is needed. It includes 2 light sources, one Xenon lamp and 3 LEDs and is supplied with 3 AAA batteries.

The 2640 HeadsUp Lite also has 2 lamps, a Halogen lamp and 3 LEDs. It uses 4 AA batteries mounted in a separate rear pack to aid weight distribution and weighs 303grams. This model can also use the extended 4 D-cell battery pack (see 2660 model) for longer battery life.
